Terms and conditions

By making a deposit you are agreeing to our terms and conditions outlined below.

Prices

  • Prices are net, quoted in New Zealand Dollars and GST exclusive.

Booking and Payment

  • A deposit of 30% is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.

  • Payment must be paid in full 30 days prior to travel unless prior arrangements have been made.

  • We accept payment via credit card and bank transfer.

Amendments and Cancellations

  • Amendments: Amendments of travel bookings may be changed up until 30 days prior to travel. Amendments made within 30 days of travel will be considered a cancellation if the property is unable to accommodate the change.

  • No Shows: If a guest does not show on the date indicated, they will be deemed a no-show, and a 100% cancellation fee will apply.

  • CancellationsIf a cancellation is made outside of 30 days prior to arrival, there is a 100% refund. If a cancellation is made within 30 days but before 7 days of arrival, there will be a loss of 50% of the total booking price. If a cancellation is made within 7 days of travel, there will be a loss of 100% of the total booking price. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of the cancellation request. No refunds will be provided for early departures or no-shows.

Check-In and Check-Out

  • Check-In: Check-in time is from 3 PM on the day of arrival. Check-in times must be no later than 10 PM. Early check-in may be available upon request and subject to availability.

  • Check-Out: Check-out time is by 10 AM on the day of departure.Late check-out may be available upon request and subject to availability and additional charges.

Group Conduct and House Rules

  • General Conduct
    - All group members must behave respectfully towards other guests, staff, and property.
    - Excessive noise and disturbances are not permitted, especially during quiet hours from 10 PM to 8 AM.
    - If the number of guests exceeds the booking request, immediate termination of the booking and eviction from the premises without a refund is possible.
    - Outdoor living areas are not to be used between 9 PM and 7 AM.
    - Be courteous of neighbours; there shall be no undue nuisance or noise to neighbours or the local community.
    - Noisy activities should only occur inside after 8 PM with windows and doors closed.
    - All vehicles, including those used by visitors, must be parked on-site and the number of vehicles is limited to 4 per accommodation site.
    - Sleeping outside of designated areas, including on sofas, is not permitted.
    - The use of illegal substances or the conduct of illegal activities on the property is strictly prohibited.

  • Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the accommodation premises.

  • Pets: Pets are strictly prohibited inside the accommodation premises.

  • Use of Common Areas: Common areas such as the laundry and accessible toilet must be kept clean and tidy. Guests must follow any additional rules posted in these areas.

  • Restricted Use of Bi-Fold Windows and Doors: The large bi-fold windows and doors on the southern side of the building will have restricted use and are only allowed to be open between 7 AM – 10 PM from Monday to Saturday, and 8 AM – 8 PM on Sundays. Outside of these times, the bi-folds must be closed.

  • Consequences of Violations: Any violation of these rules may result in immediate termination of the booking and eviction from the premises without a refund.

  • Liability and Damage: Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the property during their stay and will be charged accordingly.

Event and Function Policy

  • Any events or functions must be pre-approved by management.

  • Additional fees may apply for events, and a separate agreement will be provided.

Damage and Liability

  • Guest Responsibility: Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the property during their stay. Costs for repair or replacement of damaged items will be charged to the guest’s credit card.

  • Liability: Ariki Lakehouse is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings. Guests should ensure their personal belongings are secured at all times. Group organizers are responsible for the conduct of their group members.

Privacy Policy

  • Personal information: Information provided during the booking process will be kept confidential and used only for reservation and communication purposes. We do not share personal information with third parties without consent, except as required by law

Amendments

  • Ariki Lake House reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Guests will be notified of any changes that affect their booking.
